We capture CO₂ emissions from ships

Ships emit over 1 billion tons of greenhouse gas every year – that’s more than airplanes.

New International Maritime Organization regulations require ships to slash CO₂ emissions by 40% by 2030.

Clean fuels, such as methanol and ammonia, are still 10-20 years away, and efficiency measures, such as propeller polishing and air lubrication, are insufficient for reducing high volumes of CO2.

Seabound captures up to 95% of CO₂ emissions per ship.

How it works:

An onboard device traps emissions from a ship's exhaust.

Captured CO₂ is unloaded when the ship docks.

Captured CO₂ is sold for utilization or sequestration.
